Airline of the Future!
Posted by in MoviesThe now defunct Southern Airways was a little ahead of it’s time, according to a Globe and Mail article today describing the downfall of legacy airlines.
While the article isn’t particularly, funny, the 1970′s TV commercial they described is hilarious. Enjoy!
Apparently, things were not to remain so rosy…
But in 1979, Southern became part of Republic Airlines, which in 1986 was folded into Northwest Airlines, which merged last year with Delta Air Lines – a proud promoter of business class.
It makes you wonder … what the heck is a “stewardess”?
